Although the results on Election Day may not have fulfilled our hopes, the enthusiasm with which you and others embraced my campaign was as humbling as it was gratifying. From receiving standing ovations at churches in South Los Angeles to having colleagues tell me that I made them proud to be a Deputy City Attorney, your support provided me with moments I will personally treasure forever.
